Zyrtec is over-the-counter now...but more expensive than claritin. It probably works better, however...
i feel your pain. buy allavert, claritin's less expensive brother. works for me!

Not only is it expensive, but because of the weird meth-cooks, you almost have to submit to a full FBI background check to buy it.

I see that someone has already commented on what I'm about to mention - Zyrtec has worked really well for my husband and little boy. And, it's OTC now. So, maybe that will work. Worth a shot since Claritin's so expensive. Good luck!
Oh yeah, forgot to mention. We buy the CVS version of Zyrtec, so it's less. Not sure of how much less... ?? Anyway, hope this helps!
